My blog this year will be about beauty, bread and boots. Let me explain.
I am back in Paris this year (arrived 2 weeks ago) and have started working as an English assistant in the Bilingual Montessori school of Paris. I spend every weekday morning with 10 children ages 1 1/2 and 2 years old. In a few weeks I will also be an au pair for three children for 3 hours in the afternoons.
Otherwise, I desire in Paris this year are to continue to be involved in the church here and the communities I was a part of when I lived here a year ago.
So why beauty?
Paris is a city of beauty. Every where you go there is something beautiful to look at. It's a city of artists and a city of creative energy. I hope to share with you this year the beautiful moments (and the not so beautiful ones) that I experience.
So why bread?
It's simple. The best bread in the world is here. If you are a fan of bread at all, come quick! Buy your ticket and get on the plane and come see me. In the morning you'll wake up and walk outside to the sweet aroma of hot bread. I'm not kidding.
That being said, you should know that in this blog I am sure to talk about food. If you have no interest in good food, you may want to stop reading now. There are sure to be entire entries devoted to what I ate that day. :)
And why boots?
I've never owned a pair of boots until I moved to France. Even being a native of Northern California my first pair of boots were for Paris. Because the winters here are long, I will surely spend a good part of the year in boots.
But more so, I will share with you this year where my boots have been. As I walk all over the city of Paris, I hope to give you snapshots of what I am experiencing here.
So here we go.....
Those boots were made for waklin' girl! Can't wait to hear more about your adventures in the city.
